Balumpa Wakatobi Dance

Balumpa Wakatobi dance is a traditional dance from the Indonesian province of South East Sulawesi. Balumpa dance is a dance that originated from the district of Wakatobi, Southeast Sulawesi, particularly in the area Binongko. Balumpa dance is a welcome dance performed to welcome guests in an important occasions and big as sail Wakatobi, Indonesia sail or sail bunaken, etc.

Balumpa Wakatobi dance tells the story of a group of pretty girls who were singing the song as a folk music using stringed musical instrument that is usually accompanied sang the song. Pull this dance by 6-8 people, in pairs, male and female dancers and there are also displayed by the female dancers alone. The beauty of this dance when the dancers embodied this balumpa sing with a sincere heart and understand the meaning of the movement is done.

THE MAMANDA DRAMATIC ART



Mamanda is one of the traditional dramatic art of South Borneo. Mamanda is also similar with lenong. They are only similar in terms of interaction between the drama player with the audience. This interaction makes the audience to be active to say their funny comments. But, both of them have the difference. Lenong is more follow the transfer time, but the storyline of Mamanda is monotonous because the figures that play this drama is the kingdom figures like king and queen.
Mamada art came from Badamuluk art that brought by Abde  Moeloek from Malacca in 1897. In ancient times, the name of Badamuluk was Indra comedi nobles. But, the name was changed because the mixture between the banjar art and the Indra comedi nobles spawned a new art form that called Ba Abdoel Moeloek.  After adaptation, the drama was raised the new drama art that called Mamanda. The mamanda dramatic art is very populer among the people of borneo.

THE MASK DANCE



The mask dance is one of traditional dances from Cirebon, West Java.  The dance created by the Sultan of Cirebon, his name is Sunan Gunung Jati. The dancers should use the masks when they are dancing, so that, it called the mask dance. This dance performed by one and some beautiful women and ten men who play the musical instruments, such as rebab, kecrek, kulanter, ketuk, gendang, gong, and bendhe. The movement of the dance is always changing, it depends on the theme of the event. The dance starts from the bow formation. It means as the sign of the respect for the audience. After that, the legs of the dancers are moving back and forth while smiling to the audience.

West java is one of the strategic city which many visited by the tourists. They like to watch the dance when the big events held in this city. It can be a good dance that owned by Indonesia and we have to maintain and preserve it.

REBAB




Rebab music has three or two strings that made by copper straps. Its part of body can be made from jackfruit wood or coconut shell. The size of rebab is usually small and it has a circle body. It  is known that due to the tone of its voice. It also has the tone a little more than one octave. It is like a violin.

Rebab is also become a musical accompanist in dance. Many people who are good at playing this music instrument, but just a little of the people who have a special abilities that can produce an attractive rebab sound.

In Indonesia, there are many variations of rebab that have some differences. Actually, the differences depend on the material of the manufacture of rebab in every cities.
