KECAK DANCE



Kecak dance is one of Balines Dances art and music drama. This dance was first performed in 1930s and especially performed by men. Kecak dance is mostly related about the drama musical of Ramayana Monkey Chant which performed by a circle of  150 or more performers.
Kecak dance is such an old traditional dance, but now it has been modified into some roles or models in the same concept and culture based on the Bali’s tourism demand. Since 1970s, the Kecak Dance continued to experience some changes, especially in terms of story and staging techniques.
The name “Kecak” is comes from the words “cak cak cak” that shouted by the dancers during the show. Moreover, the sound “cak cak cak” is also become the background music of this dance. This Kecak dance become a unique presentation for it plays by a group of men, when all of them are sitting in line or circle sounding a special rhythm while shouting a capella “cak cak cak” and raising their hands up high.
Kecak dance is very famous in the world, because this dance comes from Bali where many tourists who come in this province. So, we have to preserve and develop the Kecak dance, because it is one of the traditional dance that become favorite dance  for tourists.

KUDA LUMPING DANCE

Kuda Lumping  is a traditional Javanese dance depicting a group of horsemen. Dancers "ride" horses those made from woven bamboo and decorated with colorful paints and cloth. Generally, the dance portrays some troops are riding horses, but another kind of Kuda Lumping performance also incorporates trances and magic tricks. When the "possessed" dancer is performing the dance in trance conditions, he can display unusual abilities, such as eating glass and resistance to the effects of whipping or hot coals. Although the dance is native to Java, Indonesia, it also performed by Javanese communities in Suriname, Malaysia and Singapore.
The origin of Kuda Lumping is uncertain. Two main hypotheses have been proposed. The first refers to Kuda Lumping may have arisen out of Diponegoro's war against the Dutch colonial forces, as a ritual reenactment of battles. The second argues that it is based on Mataram-era troops riding against the Dutch. Kuda Lumping is known under different names in different areas. While Kuda Lumping is the most common name in West Java, in Central Java it is known as Jaran Kepang; in Bali, it is known as Sang Hyang Jaran. In Bali Sanghyang dance refer to the type of dance involving trance by spirit identified as hyang.
Kuda Lumping  dance is very unique because the dancers play it with a fake horse. So, many people from other countries who love to watch this dance, even they do not feel scared to watch it when the dancers were having possessed

ONDEL-ONDEL

Ondel-ondel is show the people that have been there for centuries in Jakarta and surrounding areas, which today is a territory Betawi. Ondel-ondel considered a form of theater without a speech, large doll-shaped bamboo frame. Ondel-ondel depicting men face painted red, depicting a white or yellow-faced women.
Ondel-ondel commonly used to enliven the procession, like a bride paraded circumcision and so forth. Musical accompaniment ondel-ondel not certain, depending on each group. There are accompanied Tanjidor, and there is a Betawi martial drum accompaniment. Those that are accompanied by Bende, "Kemes", Ningnong and Tambourine Ketimpring.

ANGKLUNG

Angklung is a traditional musical instrument made of bamboo, the tool was first developed in the Sunda, West Java. Angklung in the ring by the way in and on vibrate to shake hands. This tool can be played by anyone, from children to adults. Typically, these tools are in use or to enliven an event.
Maybe the tool is almost extinct because many young people or people who are not concerned with this simple instrument, so many other countries that recognize the angklung is derived from its own country like Malaysia. Therefore, we must preserve this instrument is simple though.
