LEGONG DANCE

Legong dance is Bali dance that danced by women. Legong dance have gestures very complex structure that is bound by the accompanying percussion. Legong dance usually on show every day in some places in Bali. Even some restaurant and hotel everyday perform this dance as an attraction to lure tourists to come eat at the restaurant.

Legong dance is one of the elegant and very popular in Bali. Legong dancer known is a girl of eight or nine years and rarely older than the new teenager children. Legong involves just three dancers, two Legong and their officers that "Condong". Legong is indentically dressed in Gold brocade, so tightly bound that it's surprising they can move very fast. Their faces are elaborately crafted, and painted eyebrows plucked, and their hair decorated with frangipani.
