Traditional Malay House, Pontianak


The traditional Malay house is the center of Malay culture in West Kalimantan. Since its inauguration, the Malay traditional house become one of the places visited by local and foreign tourists. West Kalimantan Malay traditional house building stands on an area of ​​1.4 hectares.
The building consists of a Work Center that serves as the Secretariat meeting, the People's Hall that serves as a playground and kiosk sales, there is also Balai Pustaka that serves as a place of cultural studies and libraries, Cultural Center is closed studio and meeting room management, the Open Stage serves as a court room and warehouse, as well as Pesanggarahan consisting of lodging, meetings, health clinics and training places. Malay traditional house also serves as a place of Malay Adat Council deliberation.
Malay Customary Council, was instrumental in organizing the event in West Kalimantan Malay culture, one of which is the Malay Arts Festival which has lasted long. For 2011, Malay Cultural Arts Festival to be held in the city 7 Sintang on December 19, 2011, with the theme "developed arts, uphold tradition and culture".
