SITER

Siter is a stringed musical instrument in the Javanese gamelan. Stringed zither played with the thumb, while the other fingers are used to withstand vibration while the other plucked strings, this is usually a characteristic of gamelan instruments. Fingers of both hands are used to hold, with the right hand fingers under the strings while your left hand above the strings.
Siter and zither with different sizes are typical gamelan instruments Siteran, although it is also used in many other types of gamelan. The voice soft and clear like other stringed instruments. Melody played by zither can be very varied.
